Carlos Gil and Susana Fabregat toured Nayar Building to learn first-hand about the Castellón-based company’s activities, technology and commitment to the region.
Castellón, September 7, 2026. – Nayar today welcomed Carlos Gil Santiago, Regional Secretary for Institutional Policy and Territorial Cohesion, and Susana Fabregat Carrasquer, Delegate of the Valencian Government in Castellón, who visited the company to learn first-hand about its activities, its main technological solutions and the team developing them in Castellón.
During the visit, representatives of the Valencian Government toured the different floors of Nayar Building, where they learned how the company applies IoT technologies to the elevator industry to improve aspects such as safety, connectivity, accessibility and communication.
Throughout the tour, Nayar showcased a range of its solutions, including 72horas, GSR, Advertisim, Pulse and Nearkey, through demonstrations aimed at explaining how technology can connect elevators, transmit information and data, and enable new technological services that make everyday life easier for customers.
Technology developed from Castellón
The visit also highlighted the role of Castellón as a place where technology projects with an international outlook can originate and grow.
Nayar was founded in Castellón in 2007 and is approaching its 20th anniversary, during which time it has developed and commercialised technological solutions for the elevator industry across different markets.
From its headquarters in central Castellón, the company brings together different areas related to product development, engineering, software, electronics, technical support and other specialised functions that enable it to deliver its solutions to a global market.
During the meeting, the Regional Secretary for Institutional Policy and Territorial Cohesion highlighted the role of companies such as Nayar within the province’s business community. “From the Valencian Government, we want to highlight the value of our business community, especially those companies committed to innovation, talent and internationalisation.”
In this context, the visit provided an opportunity to see how a technology company founded in Castellón has developed its own solutions for a specialised industrial sector and expanded its activities into international markets.
Technology talent and the region
One of the key focuses of the visit was the relationship between technology, talent and the region. Nayar has reaffirmed its commitment to continuing to grow from Castellón and to creating qualified employment and professional opportunities in the technology sector.
Currently, Nayar has 61 employees, 58 of whom live in the province of Castellón, and maintains a close relationship with the region’s university and training ecosystem. In 2026 Nayar has welcomed six students from Universitat Jaume I (UJI) as interns, two of whom subsequently joined the company.
The company has also highlighted the recovery of Nayar Building, a building located in the centre of Castellón that had remained abandoned for more than 20 years and which Nayar restored and transformed into the centre of its operations.
For Nayar, this growth from Castellón is part of its identity and reflects an approach to technology focused on solving real-world problems. “We bring technology closer to solving problems, and that is what we enjoy most,” said Alexis Nadal, CEO of Nayar.
The visit provided an opportunity to share a vision of Castellón as a region capable of generating innovation, attracting and developing talent, and supporting technology companies with international ambitions.
